Prospective UChicago Fellows

The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship at UChicago is a two-year program that supports, mentors, and funds students interested in increasing diverse scholarly perspectives in academic research.

To achieve our mission, we support fellows in a sustained research project, including through the Summer Research Training Program hosted by UChicago. We provide faculty mentoring, financial support, and a supportive community of peers to introduce fellows to the culture of academia and assist in their applications to doctoral programs. Ultimately, the MMUF aims to identify and support students of great promise and help them to become scholars of the highest distinction.
