As implied in the Mission Statement, current registered (UChicago) second years of African, Caribbean, African-American, Latino/a, or Native American backgrounds, as well as students who show a demonstrated commitment to increasing cross-racial and ethnic understanding, who are interested in enabling others to better understand persons of different races and ethnicities, are eligible to apply. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Students who are selected for the MMUF are eligible for up to two years of financial support.
Only University of Chicago second-year students, serious about pursuing a PhD in one of the MMUF designated fields, should apply to this program. You must meet the eligibility criteria for this fellowship. Please consider these criteria carefully.
The deadline for submitting an application is April 15.
