As implied in our mission, current registered (UChicago) second years of African, Caribbean, African-American, Latino/a, or Native American backgrounds, as well as students who show a demonstrated commitment to increasing cross-racial and ethnic understanding, who are interested in enabling others to better understand persons of different races and ethnicities, are eligible to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or hold DACA status. Students who are selected for the MMUF are eligible for up to two years of financial support.
APPLICATION DEADLINE for students: April 13.
FACULTY RECOMMENDATION DEADLINE: April 15. From within the application site, once applicants establish accounts they can send a link to their recommenders.

Please note that there is no minimum GPA required to be considered. Also please note that to apply, one must be majoring in an MMUF-eligible field, a current sophomore, and exploring the possibility of PhD study. At the same time, please note that financial need is not one of the criteria considered when making a decision about who we admit to the program.
